Lung Cancer: Stories, Science, & Care
Lung Cancer Awareness month is in November, but we observe awareness year round at the Knight Cancer Institute. Join us for a conversation featuring a pulmonologist using advanced surgical and robotic bronchoscopy techniques to diagnose and treat lung cancer and trachea conditions, a researcher who studies how to harness the immune system to better fight lung cancer, a radiation oncologist who focuses on the treatment of lung cancer and brain tumors, and a world traveling former Brazilian diplomat who continues to survive a cancer diagnosis.
This session of Knight School will feature presentations by Dr. Peter Lee MD, MHS, Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine; Dr. Megan Burger, PhD, Assistant Professor of Cell, Developmental and Cancer Biology; Dr. Josh Walker, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Radiation Medicine; and Mrs. Rocha, meningioma and lung cancer survivor.
Please join us after the presentation for a reception with light refreshments.
